Job Overview
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) at HealingBridge LLC plays a frontline role in delivering person-centered care to individuals with developmental, intellectual, and/or behavioral health needs. This role bridges compassionate support with operational excellence helping individuals build independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring safety, compliance, and continuity of care.
Duties
- Provide direct, hands-on support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, mobility, meal prep, and community integration
- Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) and behavior support strategies as designed by the clinical team
- Foster independence, self-advocacy, and skill development aligned with each individual’s goals
- Ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment at all times
- Accurately document services, incidents, and progress in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Administer or assist with medication per training and policy (where applicable)
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct no shortcuts, no gray areas
- Participate in required training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus

- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (as applicable)
- Ability to pass background checks and required clearances
- Physical ability to assist individuals as needed (standing, lifting, transfers)
