This position manages intake, sorting, merchandising and sale of donated items. Maintains clean and safe working environment in store and sorting area. Manages checkouts and end of the day totals. Oversees volunteers.
Role Requirements and Preferences:Required:
- Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year experience in cashier duties and money handling.
- If HT program graduate, at least 3 months of living off campus.
- Completion of Onboarding within the first month of hire, which consists of completing a review of the policy and procedures manual, the employee handbook, review of benefits, and job shadowing or position is forfeited.
- Clean pre-employment drug test.
Technical & Physical Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications to support documentation, communication, and reporting tasks. - Organizational and Time Management Skills:
Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages multiple responsibilities, and maintains accurate records in a fast-paced environment. - Physical Capability:
Able to safely lift and carry items weighing between 30 to 50 pounds as needed for program operations or supply management.

Retail Operations & Inventory Management
- Ensure all donated items are processed and placed on the sales floor in a timely and organized manner to maximize availability and sales.
- Maintain store readiness and ensure the store is open and fully operational during designated business hours.

- Assist and support volunteers in their roles, fostering a positive, cooperative, and rewarding volunteer experience.

Work Environment: This role involves the use of standard store equipment, including computers, cash registers, calculators, scanners, phones, copiers, filing cabinets. Employees may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid outdoor conditions. The typical noise level is moderate. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently needs to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms. Travel Requirements: There may be mandatory meetings and/or trainings that take place on another campus or location. You are required to travel to the appropriate location at these times.
