Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Associate Therapist who has recently completed their master’s degree and holds provisional licensure in Illinois. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a caseload in private practice while receiving high-quality supervision and mentorship on their path toward full licensure.
The ideal candidate has experience and interest in working with both adolescents and adults, and a strong desire to expand their knowledge and clinical skills in treating substance use disorders and process addictions (such as gambling, gaming, or other compulsive behaviors).
This position also includes mentorship in the business side of private practice and the opportunity to retain clients once independently licensed, supporting both your clinical and entrepreneurial growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy to adolescents and adults (caseload will build over time).
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health concerns, with opportunities for specialization in substance use and process-related disorders.
- Complete documentation in a timely and ethical manner, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with supervisor and participate in weekly supervision sessions.
- Engage in professional development and training opportunities as appropriate.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with licensing board requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
- Provisionally licensed in Illinois (LSW, LPC, AMFT, or equivalent).
- Interest in working with both adolescents and adults.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing ethical, client-centered care.
Preferred:
- Experience or a desire in working with substance use disorders and/or process-related disorders.
- Some prior clinical experience (internship or practicum acceptable).
- Interest in developing a private practice caseload long-term.
- Comfort with hybrid work (in-office and telehealth).
Compensation & Benefits
- Split pay structure: 60/40 (clinician retains 60%).
- W2 employee status — payroll handled by the practice.

- Weekly supervision with an LCSW (toward licensure hours).

Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
