Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Mental Health Counselor role located in Altoona, IA. The counselor will provide individual and relationship counseling, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and manage cases to support clients in reaching their mental health goals. Responsibilities also include identifying and addressing mental health challenges, conducting psychological assessments, maintaining accurate client documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure effective care.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management to provide structured and effective care for clients.
- In-depth understanding of Mental Health principles and specialized knowledge in areas such as Psychology and Mental Health Disorders.
- Experience in Relationship Counseling, with skills to address and assist with interpersonal and familial challenges.
- Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills, along with a client-centered approach.
- Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in Iowa. Temp. Licenses will be accepted as well.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous clinical experience in a mental health or counseling setting is preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $120,000
