Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and specific areas of concern
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided and monitor client progress over time
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to enhance service quality
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including CPR certification and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff
- Promote client retention by delivering outstanding customer service and fostering positive relationships
Requirements
- Valid state of Virginia licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification
- Previous spa, wellness, or massage experience preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- New grads are welcome
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively
- Additional certifications in cosmetology are a plus
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
