Overview
Healing Life Health Center is seeking dependable and compassionate part-time Mental Health Specialists (MHSs) and Mental Health Professionals (MHPs) to provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults.
- MHSs provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) in clients’ homes and community settings.
- MHPs provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) in clients’ homes, community settings, and/or through approved telehealth methods.
Responsibilities
- Provide PSR or CPST services according to each client’s treatment plan.
- Help clients develop coping, communication, social, behavioral, and independent-living skills.
- Educate clients on symptom management and community resources.
- Assist clients with working toward their established treatment goals.
- Coordinate with supervisors, treatment team members, families, and other providers when appropriate.
- Complete progress notes and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain client records using an electronic health record system.
- Follow HIPAA, agency policies, and Louisiana Medicaid requirements.
- Attend required meetings, training, and supervision.
MHS Qualifications – PSR
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields:
- Criminal Justice
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Education
Applicants must meet Louisiana Department of Health qualifications for a Mental Health Specialist. PSR services are provided in clients’ homes and community settings, so local travel is required.
MHP Qualifications – CPST
Applicants must have a qualifying master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or another approved behavioral health field.
Qualifying applicants may include PLPCs, CSWs, LMSWs, and other individuals who meet Louisiana Department of Health requirements for a Mental Health Professional. Unlicensed professionals must participate in required clinical supervision.
CPST services may be provided in clients’ homes, community settings, and/or through an approved HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.
Additional Requirements
- Behavioral health, mental health, education, or social services experience is preferred.
- Must have strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance are required for community-based services.
- Dependable phone and internet access are required.
- Evening and some weekend availability may be required.
Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
