HHCI is in search of a Clinical Director (CD) for its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This position is field-based.
Position Summary:
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team CD provides clinical and administrative supervision of all functions of the ACT program within the Treatment and Recovery Services division, which is a multi-disciplinary team. The CD ensures that the program is operating in compliance with all of HHCI’s regulators and governing bodies. The CD holds the primary responsibility of ensuring that clients are receiving high quality care, and that personnel are utilizing evidence-based practices to assist clients with achieving their treatment and recovery goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client treatment and care to clients of the program at least 50% of the time (17.5 weekly hours within a 35 hour work week)
- Facilitate daily team meetings
- Conduct intake screenings for prospective clients
- Complete and submit ACT tracking spreadsheets in collaboration with the ACT Program Assistant
- Review, approve, and address any discrepancies with clinical documentation of direct reports, including progress notes and assessments
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to direct reports
- Participate in interviews with candidates for vacant positions
- Onboard and provide clinical training to new hires, and train existing personnel
- Participate in collaborative meetings with human resources regarding hiring needs
- Communicate and collaborate with other divisions/departments within the organization
- Collaborate with consented external providers and internal personnel regarding the treatment goals of mutually shared clients
- Participate in at least two internal committees as determined by the CEO
- Complete required trainings within established timeframes
- Review, approve, and address any discrepancies with timecards, and time off requests
- Complete personnel performance reviews
- Conduct chart audits as assigned by the Quality and Compliance department and CD’s direct supervisor, as well as conduct unassigned chart audits
- Participate in the performance improvement/progressive disciplinary process
- Provide client coverage in the absence of direct reports
- On-call responsibilities via phone as needed
- Comply with all relevant standards and regulations of HHCI, the state of Maryland’s Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), The Joint Commission, HIPAA
- Provide client coverage within the Treatment and Recovery Services division when needed (ie. in the absence of colleagues)
- Perform other duties as requested by the CEO
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Creative Arts Therapy (CAT), Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited master's program
- Licensed in the state of Maryland as a: LMSW, LGPC, LGMFT, LGPAT, LGADC, Psychology Associate, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, LCPAT, LCADC, PhD, or PsyD
- A minimum of 3 years of supporting the mental/behavioral health population
- A minimum of 1 year of experience supervising mental/behavioral health professionals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access), electronic health records, and the use of computers/laptops
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong preference for-
- Experience with the standards and policies of accrediting bodies such as The Joint Commission, or Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
- Experience with individuals who are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness, and/or dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use conditions
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary mobile team
