Healing Hearts Emergency Animal Hospital is seeking energetic individuals to join our team of veterinary technicians. Our hospital is growing busier by the day, and we are looking to add to our wonderful team. We are looking for strong individuals with compassion and an eagerness to learn. As a brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital, candidates will be required to be proficient in all departments to support and encourage staff growth. There will be client interaction both in person and on the phone with regards to the patient updates, treatment plans and discharges. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. A self-driven individual that would flourish in a high pace environment is desired.

Our goal is to gradually evolve our hospital into a 24-hour, multi-specialty hospital, while maintaining our strong community ties with local veterinarians.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of animal care and handling skills
Takes personal responsibility and displays integrity.
Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for and triage critical patients.
Enjoys a team environment and working collaboratively with all team members for the best possible care of clients and patients.
Maintains professionalism and composure, makes sound decisions, and is able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Enjoys teaching, training, and learning; has a strong desire to share knowledge with peers and is open to learning from others.
Can read, write, and speak English; is able to follow verbal and written medical orders and
instructions with assistance.
Strong medical math skills.
Windows based computer literate with the ability to learn new veterinary based software
applications. Knowledge of Cornerstone a plus, but not required.
A basic understanding of Idexx and Abaxis lab equipment is a plus, but not required.
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds or handle any other common veterinary workplace task that is assigned.
Wage:
Dependent on experience: $20 to $30 an hour
