Healing Hands Addiction Centers, a premier addiction medical services and behavioral health company based in Crossett AR, provides residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. We have a full-time opportunity for a Medical Office Specialist.
The Medical Office Specialist plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals undergoing treatment at our residential/outpatient facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a therapeutic environment.
Medical Office Specialist Responsibilities:
- Medication Assistance: Under the direction of the Medical Director, assist with the administration of medication, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to treatment plans.
- Answering phone, greeting patients
- Managing the master calendar to ensure that patients are scheduled as appropriate
- Ensure Providers are scheduled with a smooth workflow
- Checking patients in and out
- Handling preauthorization and referrals
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Collecting patient balances
- Scanning and Routing documents
The ideal candidates must be highly organized, reliable, and have excellent people skills. Must be able to multi-task and work independently.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in AR (Required).
- CPR/First Aid certification (required).
- Experience in a behavioral health or residential treatment facility is preferred but not required.
- Medical office experience and familiarity with EMR Systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with individuals in recovery.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Office Hours:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5PM. 4 days per week in Crossett and 1 day per week in our White Hall location.
