Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
- Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and treatments.
- Take radiographs (X-ray) and assist with other imaging procedures such as ultrasound to support diagnostic efforts.
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document treatments accurately in compliance with clinic protocols.
Skills
- Proven kennel experience combined with animal handling skills that demonstrate confidence in managing diverse animals.
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology to support clinical procedures effectively.
- Laboratory experience including sample collection and processing,
- Proficiency in X-ray imaging techniques along with familiarity with aseptic techniques necessary for surgical support or invasive procedures.
