Job Title: Picker

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for accurately picking component parts from warehouse shelves to support production requirements. This role ensures that items are picked and prepared for production in a timely and efficient manner. Material Handler will be trained to support Shipping & Receiving tasks as needed. Additional responsibilities with inventory control, cycle counting, and project work as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and collect items from warehouse inventory according to job traveler
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and product quality
• Label and prepare orders for production
• Conduct Cycle Counts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate computer and work with Company's MRP system
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisor
• Participate and adhere to all safety requirements, Quality Management Processes, and site safety programs ensuring that all standards are met. Receive materials as they arrive and verify correct amounts of materials were received
• Unloading trucks and placing material in the proper location
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous warehouse or picking experience (an advantage)
• Ability to lift heavy items (often up to 25–50 lbs.)
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and role model effective team behavior
• Bi-lingual English-Spanish (preferred)
