Overview
The Director of Nursing plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Hospice. This position requires a dedicated professional with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing nursing operations, developing care plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a culture of excellence and compassion among the nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee resident assessments.
  • Ensure proper management of medical records and documentation review to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for patients.
  • Manage staffing schedules, including shift management, to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff through mentoring and supervision.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in nursing administration, medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and EHR/EMR systems.

Skills

  • Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on nurse management and supervising experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in using EHR systems for efficient patient record management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and compliance.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of nursing practice while ensuring the well-being of our residents. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
