The Director of Nursing plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Hospice. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory standards.
- Oversee resident assessments.
- Ensure proper management of medical records and documentation review to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for patients.
- Manage staffing schedules, including shift management, to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff through mentoring and supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in nursing administration, medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and EHR/EMR systems.
