About the Position:
We are seeking a senior geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid mapping skills, geologic understanding and 10 years’ experience in the mining sector. We are looking for someone who has drill management experience and can hit the ground running on a variety of geological projects and enjoys field work.
Key Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Geology, master’s preferred.
· Strong, proven mapping skills are essential.
· 10 years’ experience in mining geology is preferred, with work in epithermal systems a plus.
· Drill management, target generation, 3D modelling and Arc/QGIS experience highly desired.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Must be authorized to work in the US, be at least 21 years of age, and possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
· Field mapping and sampling.
· Data collection and geochemical analysis.
· Lead exploration projects and author geological reports.
· Collaborating on project management and strategic planning.
· Lead team meetings and provide regular updates on field progress to management.
· Collect, analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex geological data.
· Develop drill targets and implement drill programs.
· Be able to lead a team in field mapping and interpretation of structures, alteration, and lithological units for exploration target definition and development.
· Create a 3D geological-structural-alteration district model
- · Ensure that high standards of on-site health, safety and environmental practices are continuously followed, meeting industry and Company standards.
