About The Role

Join our small team that makes world-class Audio/Video hardware and software for the Business Jet industry. Innovative Advantage is looking for an application developer to join our engineering team! This is an opportunity to work alongside industry experts and get hands-on experience with cutting-edge audio, video, and data distribution technologies that enhance passenger experiences in aircraft.

Key Details

• Work Days and Hours: Our normal working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, with the flexibility to work a 4x10 or 5x8 schedule.
• Location: This is a full-time onsite position located in Kirkland, WA.
• Compensation: $100,000 to $115,000 per year
• Work Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen and authorized to work in the United States.
• This position is under Heads Up Technologies, but will be working in the Innovative Advantage business unit. A new employee to the organization will be employed by Innovative Advantage Inc.
  
  

What You'll Do

• Design and Build: Develop user-facing applications that interface with our embedded systems to troubleshoot, configure, and monitor our distributed platform. Users are other developers, systems engineers, as well as customers.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and customer support to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Innovate and Optimize: Apply your experience to design, test, and refine software that enhances system performance and user experience.
• Own Your Impact: Your contributions will directly support our mission to deliver dependable products and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  
  

Required Qualifications

What will make you successful in this role (skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C# or similar language.
• Experience with cross-platform development, .NET preferred.
• Hands-on experience working with customer facing applications and embedded platforms.
• Experience with UI/UX design and/or implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and time management abilities.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with debugging tools, version control (Git), and hardware/software integration.
• Knowledge of networking protocols like ethernet and TCP/IP.
• Experience integrating cloud databases (ie. Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
• Exposure to audio/video technologies or real-time systems is a plus.
