Role Overview
Headlands is seeking a Board Certified Physician (MD/DO) to support our substance treatment programs through a combination of on-site and virtual care.
- Work Setting: Onsite, 20-25 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
This position is ideal for a physician with experience or interest in addiction medicine and behavioral health who can manage psychiatric and low-complexity primary care conditions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and a compassionate approach to patient care in recovery-focused settings.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania (PA) medical license required
- Current MD or DO license(s) in good standing
- DEA license active and unrestricted
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and electronic communication
- Dependable, eager to learn, and self-motivated
- Efficient in managing multiple tasks and maintaining workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in addiction medicine, including withdrawal management and MAT protocols (buprenorphine, naltrexone)
- Experience in psychiatry or dual-diagnosis treatment programs
- ASAM certification or willingness to obtain preferred
