The Position:
What You'll Do:
- Be the face of the New York Yankees, owning the customer experience for your camp location through phone, email, and in-person interactions with parents and families as the person who knows them best
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with on-site leadership and the Headquarters’ Customer Service Team to ensure the delivery and execution of first-class customer service
- Manage family accounts, accurately and fully capturing and tracking inbound and outbound conversations, requests, inquiries, and enrollments through camp databases
- Act swiftly and anticipate how small details may impact a camper’s experience, and work to proactively problem-solve issues as they arise
- Update the camp’s blog with photos, videos, and brief descriptions of the daily activities (team rosters, drills, scoreboard)
- Represent the Yankees professionally and respectfully throughout all facets of your day to campers, parents, site and facility partners and any guests you encounter while on the clock and in uniform
- Be a loyal, dedicated, and responsible team member who consistently shows up on time and ready to work for the campers and the rest of your team
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the camp Site Leader
About You:
- 3 years of knowledge and skills earned at an accredited undergraduate institution (majors in communications or business viewed favorably)
- Experience working with children, preferably in an athletic or educational setting and customer service
- Passionate about marketing, communications, and making a positive impact on the lives of children, families, and coaches
- Committed to the camp mission, the rest of your team and the campers for the full duration of the summer camp season
- Able to effectively interact and communicate in-person, over the phone and through written updates with parents and families on a daily basis
- Able to do seated, computer-based work and remain upright and standing for multiple hours at a time, to walk and/or run quickly around large outdoor grass and dirt-covered fields

Additional Camp Information:
- Time Commitment: Available for pre-camp trainings and all weeks of programming

Camp Dates & Locations: June 19th - August 21st, no camp the week of July 3rd

- Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:15 am-3:45 pm
- Compensation: $20 / hour with up to 2.5 hours of overtime expected per week paid at $30/hour
- Extended employment opportunities: Pitching and hitting semi-private lessons Monday - Thursday ($43.75 per lesson)
