Human Resources Generalist – Manufacturing
Mesa, AZ | Full-Time | On-Site | $70,000–$82,000
A fast-growing manufacturing facility in Mesa, AZ is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist who thrives in a high-energy production environment. This role is the main HR point of contact for employees and supervisors across all shifts, with a strong focus on employee relations, leave management, HR operations, and supporting plant leadership. Backup payroll support is included but is not the primary focus.
What You'll Do
- Be the visible HR presence on the production floor — walk the plant, connect with employees, and build trust
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee issues, questions, and HR support
- Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, coaching supervisors, attendance, and leaves (FMLA, LOA, etc.)
- Support recruitment for manufacturing, technical, and support roles
- Coordinate onboarding, training, safety orientations, and compliance programs
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and documentation
- Provide backup payroll support during peak periods or absences
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Experience supporting payroll processes (ADP, Paycom, Paychex, etc.)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Comfort working in a 24-hour, fast-paced, rapidly growing production environment
- Ability to walk the plant regularly and engage with employees
- Preferred: Bilingual English/Mandarin, HRIS experience, PHR/SHRM-CP
