Home Visitor needed for the Superior Head Start, vehicle provided for visits. Responsible for home visits in areas of early childhood education.
Full-time position, year round, Wage is $15.54/hr. $16.54/hr for individuals with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

This individual will demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families. The successful applicant will have the ability to be an advocate for families and provide appropriate input to aid in decision-making. This position requires an individual who is comfortable visiting the homes of low income families, and is sensitive to individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Job Responsibilities
· Maintain contact with assigned Head Start/Early Head Start families, including phone contacts, parent conferences, and home visits. Meet with families in their homes on a regular basis and maintain regular contact with each assigned family, in accordance with program guidelines.
· Ensure family assessments are completed and families have ongoing family goals based off of the family assessment promoting self-sufficiency and the Family Engagement Outcomes.
· Become knowledgeable of community and program resources available to families. Assist families with referrals to other community services to meet the family’s basic needs and provide information to educate families in the areas of child safety, child development and health issues, as well as any other issues of concern to parents.
· Enter GOLD observations weekly resulting in one anecdote per child per item each period. Finalize GOLD at the end of each period and analyze data for each EHS child.
