Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster curiosity, creativity, and cognitive development in preschool children.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages children to explore and express themselves confidently.
- Monitor and support children's social interactions, promoting positive behavior management strategies to ensure respectful and cooperative classroom dynamics.
- Conduct regular assessments of each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing inclusive teaching strategies aligned with best practices in special education.
- Manage classroom supplies, organize learning materials, and maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning.
- Engage in continuous learning about childhood development theories, childcare best practices, and innovative teaching methods.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool settings or daycare environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience with toddler care, infant care, babysitting or nannying is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle behavior management challenges with patience and professionalism.
- Familiarity with childcare safety standards and health protocols.
