What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEMP Program Manager position at Head Injury Association?
The Head Injury Association is looking to add a Supported Employment (SEMP) Program Manager to our growing team. This manager will ensure the Supported Employment Program operates effectively and efficiently by providing oversight of the program and supervision to the Employment Specialists. The Employment Program Manager will be responsible for administrative duties, compliance, training, and staff supervision to ensure the safety and best interest of the individuals in the Supported Employment Program (SEMP).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma. Associates/Bachelors preferred.
- OPWDD Experience Strongly Preferred.
- New York Drivers License Required
- Prior experience in Job Development, Pre-Vocational services or Employment Programs
- Prior Supervisory Experience a plus
Job Description:
- Serve as a role model for Job Coaches and individuals enrolled in the Employment program
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of individualized goals and employment plans
- Establish new employment opportunities with community stakeholders as needed
- Expand HIA’s Employment program and exceed annual budget expectations
- Lead screenings and onboarding new applicants
- Train staff, families and individuals on how wages affect SSI & SSDI and other entitlements
- Approve, monitor, and review billing on at least a weekly basis.
- Track authorization staff action plans, and annual units of service
- Adhere to the regulations and documentation requirements, including but not limited to ACCESS VR, OPWDD, Dept of Labor, and all other applicable Federal, State, and local agencies
- Provide oversight, training, and supervision to the Employment Specialists.
- Fill in for Employment Specialist as needed
- Provide hands-on assessment, training, and counseling of individuals with disabilities as needed
- Participate in all required/mandated trainings
- Provide at least two (2) shifts a week of job development with program participants in the field
- Coordinate the Job Coach’s weekly schedules
- Complete payroll and ensure service delivery dates align with the service verification forms, daily notes, and mileage submissions
- Complete OPWDD Quarterly SEMP Reports
- Participate in Life Plan Meetings
- Complete SEMP reports, paperwork and assessments to obtain authorization from the funding source
- Develop and maintain Staff Action Plans as per Life Plan Meeting recommendations

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
