Head Injury Association is seeking full-time Day Program Specialist to provide direct care to individuals supported in our day program located in Hauppauge. This position helps those we support in completing a variety of activities including cooking, computer lab, horticulture, photography and more. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring health, wellness and safety and providing appropriate supervision of people supported
- Building positive relationships with individuals supported as well as fellow co-workers
- Using effective communication and time management skills
- Completing mandatory trainings
- Adhering to HIA’s policies, procedures and regulations
- Transporting and escorting people we support on recreational activities, and community outings, etc.
- Helping the individuals we support achieve their goals

Available Shifts:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid NYS License
- Caregiving experience required
