Team Member - Pop's Lemonade

Job Title: Team Member

Pop's Lemonade is hiring team members! As a team member for Pop’s Lemonade, you will provide the highest level of customer service. You will have the opportunity to work at our beverage truck/trailer located in various areas and sites throughout the Waco community. We are looking for an ideal team player who displays humility, an eagerness to learn, and strong interpersonal and social relationship-building skills. You will prepare and serve the highest quality lemonade while working in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment serving customers quickly, cheerfully & excellently.

Required education and experience:

High School Education, GED, or equivalent (preferred)

Food Handlers certificate (Certificate can be obtained during on-the-job training.)

High-Quality Customer Service experience (preferred)

Food Service Work experience (preferred)

Valid Texas Drivers’ License

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• Ability to successfully identify ingredients, follow recipes, and prepare delicious menu items

• Ability to memorize menu, recipes, and FAQs

• Ability to exhibit a genuine personality that is polite, positive, and engaging while providing excellent customer service with a smile

• Ability to use home and commercial kitchen equipment including but not limited to the following: juicers, blenders, mixers, freezer, ice maker, and sharp knives

• Ability to use Square Processing system to process cash and credit card transactions

• Ability to clean by using a variety of cleaning equipment and supplies

• Ability to pay attention to detail

• Ability to report to work as scheduled

Essential Functions:

• Ability to read and follow instructions

• Ability to operate beverage/beverage preparation equipment

• Ability to understand proper food handling and sanitation procedures

• Ability to implement business city ordinances to minimize the spread of COVID-19

• Ability to drive personal vehicle to and from Pop’s Truck/Trailer to the commercial kitchen

Other Requirements:

• Valid and current auto insurance coverage for personal vehicle

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare menu items in a high quality and presentable manner(beverage Prep includes but is not limited to the following: Making lemonade, cutting fruit, and portioning herbs.) Appropriately package and prepare all beverage orders

• Updating manager on duty of Inventory needs and replenishing product and supplies as needed

• Inventory and replenish Pop’s Lemonade merchandise

• Use of personal vehicle to pick up ingredients at commercial kitchen and transport to beverage truck/trailer and unload.

• Clean and sanitize dishes and utensils

• Help / train new team members on how to prepare and serve menu items

• Assist with opening set-up, closing Duties, and thoroughly clean/sanitizing during shifts

• Empty trash and ensure all trash canisters are lined with trash bags

• Assist site manager with duties as requested

• Attend team meetings as instructed

• Assist with and work catering and community events as scheduled

• Other duties as assigned

Physical demands:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced beverage service working environment

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

• Ability to access and navigate all areas of the work environment

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds at a time

• Ability to physically bend, push, pull, stretch, move hands, wrist, and fingers frequently

• Ability to work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen, outdoor mobile beverage unit, and outdoor beverage tent /canopy environment

• Ability to work agreed-upon hours per week and be available for occasional last-minute events.

Work authorization/security clearance required: Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Base Hourly Rate:
Beginning Hourly Rate: $9.50 per hour Differential Pay: for Shift Leaders Only
Potential Highest Pay: Up to $ 17.00 per hour (DOE)

Tips Eligible: Tips Share for Truck and Trailer Workers Only
