SUMMARY 

Provide services to clients in the residential crisis stabilization center with people facing a crisis situation, activities to build relationships of trust, collaboration with community providers, referrals to services of choice and assistance connecting with resource as desired, coordination and transportation. Participate in one-on-one interactions with clients as well as facilitate daily group skills sessions teaching life skills, coping skills, healthy life practices, etc. Collaborate with providers to address immediate safety and to help stabilize client as well as identify apparent issues that precipitated the crisis. Communicate follow-up needs and discharge planning. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUED THE FOLLOWING: Other duties may be assigned.

1)     Provide assessment, intervention, and stabilization

2)     Work collaboratively with the treatment team to address client’s immediate safety needs. De-escalate situations as appropriate.

3)     Communicate any follow up needs

4)     Provide and/or work with others to provide short-term, solution focused services, linking individuals to needed resources.

5)     Develop treatment plans

6)     Facilitate daily group skills sessions

7)     Seek clinical guidance for assistance and support as needed

8)     Documents and maintains records in compliance with professional and ethical standards, state and federal policy and agency requirements.

9)     Daily cleaning tasks.

10)  Preparing rooms for new guests following guest discharge.

11)  Maintains appropriate boundaries at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Meets practitioner in mental health/chemical health, Certified Peer Specialist, Peer Recovery Specialist. Experience providing direct services to diverse populations and working with community partners. Ability to identify crisis situations and appropriate responses. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.
