Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems including filters, belts, motors, and refrigerant levels to ensure peak operation.
- Install new HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and building automation systems.
- Repair and replace mechanical components, electrical wiring, plumbing connections, and refrigeration lines to restore system functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations or repairs aligned with safety standards.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting using hand tools and welding techniques when necessary to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status or recommended upgrades.
