HD Fowler Company is seeking a Data and Analytics Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of our data ecosystem. You will manage our Database Engineer and Data Analyst while overseeing all platforms and applications that support data analytics, reporting, and business insights. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise paired with the leadership skills to guide our data initiatives and help shape the future of analytics within the organization. This is a full-time position based out of our Corporate Office in Bellevue, Washington with a remote work option considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Database Engineer and Data Analyst, supporting growth, performance, and technical excellence.
- Prioritize team initiatives, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery of projects and reporting needs.
- Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture across the organization.
Data Platform Ownership
- Oversee the administration, performance, and optimization of Microsoft Azure Synapse, SQL-based systems, and related cloud data environments.
- Oversee the design, integrity, and scalability of the company’s data infrastructure.
- Manage all analytical and reporting platforms, including Power BI and Acumatica (ERP), ensuring high availability, security, and data accuracy.
Analytics and Reporting Strategy
- Ensure high-quality, reliable reporting and dashboards are delivered across the organization.
- Guide the team in developing advanced analytics, business intelligence, and KPI tracking.
- Maintain governance standards around data quality, performance, lineage, and documentation.
Innovation and Strategic Direction
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data engineering, analytics, and AI.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new data platforms or enhancements to improve business insights.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding technology investments and long-term data architecture.
- Serve as a thought leader in the company on data and analytics trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders to understand reporting needs and uncover opportunities to leverage data for improved decision-making.
- Communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Azure Synapse, cloud data environments, and modern data architectures.
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar BI tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Proficiency with Reporting Tools (e.g., Jedox, Phocas, Excel)
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data governance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical team members.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business users.
Preferred:
- At least 2 years in a leadership or manager role.
- Experience implementing or managing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Python, Spark, or other analytics tools.
- Background in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Experience designing scalable cloud data solutions.

- Working Hours Primarily Monday - Friday between 7AM-5PM
