Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves hands-on support of enterprise IT environments, including server and network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and end-user systems. You will work directly with clients, providing both remote and on-site support in a teaming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support Windows Server environments (2016–2022)
- Manage and support virtualized environments (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi)
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune)
- Deploy and support Windows 11 workstations and peripherals
- Ensure reliable server backup and recovery (Datto preferred)
- Configure and support network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches, wireless APs)
- Maintain technical documentation and configuration records
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once per month)
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency with Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 management and deployment
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Strong knowledge of networking (VLANs, VPNs, inter-site routing)
- Experience with Windows 11 in business environments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Datto BCDR solutions
- Familiarity with Cisco and Ubiquiti networking equipment
- Knowledge of Autotask or similar ticketing systems
- Experience with N-Able or other RMM tools
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS
- VoIP experience (Asterisk, FreePBX, PBXact) or other related VoIP technologies
