Job Summary
· Responsible for the staffing and administration of a nursing unit or floor.
Job Responsibilities
· Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission requirements.
· Assists with the hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of nursing staff.
· Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
Organizational Responsibilities
· Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures. Licensure/Certification/Registration
· Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) required. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Massachusetts required. Certified as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of employment in this position.
Work Experience
· 4 years progressive experience in a related field required.
