What You'll Do
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Teach patients and families how to adapt daily routines for safety and independence.
- Educate on the use of adaptive equipment, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
- Assess home environmentsand develop personalized plants to prevent falls.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists and other members of the care team.
- Document patient progressand communicate changes promptly to the physician.
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence.
- Support home health aide services as needed.
What You Bring:
- Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy
- Current, valid OT license issued by NYS Department of Education.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed occupational therapist.
- Strong communication, teaching, and critical thinking skills.
- A genuine passion for helping others live safely and independently at home.
