HCO Behavioral Health is a growing multi-location behavioral health practice serving Louisiana and Texas. We provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to individuals, families, and children — with a growing focus on faith-integrated care. We are expanding our team of licensed Christian counselors to meet the strong and growing demand for faith-informed therapy across our service areas.
THE ROLE
As a Licensed Christian Counselor at HCO, you will provide individual and family therapy to clients who want their faith honored in the therapeutic process. You are not a pastoral counselor — you are a fully licensed clinician who integrates faith-based approaches alongside evidence-based methods.
This is a purpose-driven role for a therapist who wants to build a meaningful caseload, be well-supported, and grow within a faith-affirming practice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide individual, family, and couples therapy with a faith-integrated approach
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Bill services via insurance (BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Medicaid) and self-pay
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR system (SimplePractice or equivalent)
- Collaborate with the care team for referrals, care coordination, and client support
- Participate in optional peer consultation and staff development
- Build therapeutic relationships with clients across diverse faith backgrounds — all are welcome
WHO YOU ARE
Required Qualifications:
✓ Active Louisiana and/or Texas licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (no exceptions)
✓ Genuine integration of Christian faith in clinical practice
✓ Minimum 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience
✓ Experience with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, marriage, or family therapy
✓ Strong documentation and time-management skills
✓ Telehealth-capable (reliable internet connection, private space)
Preferred — Not Required:
- Experience working with diverse faith backgrounds (non-judgmental approach required)
- EMDR, CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based certification
- Experience with faith-based crisis care or spiritual direction training
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
