Role/Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Graph Architect / Lead to design and implement enterprise ontology, taxonomy, and semantic modeling capabilities. This role will help build AI-ready Knowledge Graph solutions that enable contextual understanding, semantic search, intelligent querying, and governed enterprise data consumption. The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Engineering, Governance, AI/ML, and Application teams to deliver scalable and secure semantic data platforms.

Tech Stack Experience Required

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enterprise cloud platforms, and scalable distributed data environments.
• Experience with graph databases, RDF, OWL, SPARQL, Cypher, semantic web technologies, ontology frameworks, and semantic modeling platforms.
• Experience with Enterprise Knowledge Graphs, Enterprise Data Catalogs, metadata management, lineage, semantic enrichment, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with Python, Java, REST APIs, graph APIs, and enterprise integration services.
• Experience with GKE, Docker, Kubernetes, IAM, and secure enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and design enterprise ontology, taxonomy, and semantic models.
• Architect and implement Knowledge Graph structures including entities, relationships, hierarchies, and semantic mappings.
• Map business entities into graph-based semantic models.
• Design RDF and graph data models, ontology frameworks, and semantic relationships to enable AI-ready contextual understanding.
• Develop and manage graph ingestion, semantic enrichment, lineage, and relationship modeling processes.
• Integrate Knowledge Graph capabilities with Enterprise Data Catalogs, data pipelines, APIs, and AI/ML agents for semantic search and intelligent querying.
• Enable graph analytics, reasoning, inference, and contextual data discovery using graph technologies and ontology standards.
• Define standards and best practices for semantic modeling, ontology governance, and Knowledge Graph lifecycle management.
• Ensure semantic layer and graph access align with governance and Data Security Framework controls.
• Support integration using graph database technologies, SPARQL/Cypher queries, Java/Python APIs, and semantic web technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, governance, architecture, and AI teams to deliver scalable and governed semantic data solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience designing ontology, taxonomy, semantic models, and Knowledge Graph solutions.
• Experience with graph data modeling, semantic mapping, RDF, ontology frameworks, and graph query languages.
• Experience integrating Knowledge Graph solutions with enterprise data platforms, APIs, and governance frameworks.
• Experience with metadata, lineage, semantic enrichment, and AI-ready data enablement.
• Strong analytical, architecture, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with enterprise semantic search, graph analytics, reasoning, and inference capabilities.
• Experience supporting AI-ready enterprise data platforms and semantic enablement initiatives.
• Experience working in governed and regulated enterprise data environments.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $84,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $202,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
