Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Software/Automation Engineer or Validation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in hardware bring-up, device validation, and lab automation. The role requires expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell and Python scripting, and working with Windows-based devices, drivers, and test infrastructure.

The candidate will be responsible for enabling end-to-end automation, onboarding new hardware into lab environments, and ensuring reliable execution of validation pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hardware bring-up and validation for new devices in lab environments, ensuring readiness for testing and automation.
• Configure and manage ADO pipelines, agents, and DUT (Device Under Test) integrations.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using PowerShell and Python.
• Enable and troubleshoot agent–DUT connectivity, execution failures, and infrastructure issues.
• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing across hardware and software layers.
• Analyze failures, log detailed defects with repro steps, and collaborate with engineering teams for resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and improve reliability of automation workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, onboarding guides, and test collateral.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including pipeline creation, agent setup, and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, device provisioning, and lab setup.
• Familiarity with Windows systems, drivers, and device-level debugging.
• Experience in test automation, debugging, and failure analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with embedded systems or firmware validation.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and automation integrations.
• Exposure to Power BI or reporting dashboards.
• Programming knowledge in C/C#.
• Experience with Azure Data Explorer or data analytics tools.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $67000/Year

Pay Range Maximum: $101000/Year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
