HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self- motivated Project Manager with Technology Background who is Hands-on expertise with strong Linux scripting and SQL expertise to lead a large-scale DB migration program. This role combines program delivery ownership with hands-on technical contributions, particularly in Linux shell scripting, batch job migration, and data validation automation.). Lead end-to-end delivery of database migration program ensuring timelines, quality, and risk management. Must Have Skills:

• Strong experience in Technical Project/Program Management (10 years)
• Hands-on expertise in Linux Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn) and SQL (SQL Server)
• Experience managing database migration / modernization projects
• Strong understanding of Batch processing & job scheduling (Control-M)
• Data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks
• Project Manager will be responsible for Stakeholder management, providing solutions, setting expectations.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Informatica ETL
• Experience in database migration projects
• Basic Python scripting for automation
• Knowledge of financial services domain

Job Description:

• We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with strong Linux scripting and SQL expertise to lead a large-scale DB migration program. This role combines program delivery ownership with hands-on technical contributions, particularly in Linux shell scripting, batch job migration, and data validation automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of database migration program ensuring timelines, quality, and risk management
• Drive technical solutioning and execution governance across database, ETL, and application teams
• Perform hands-on development and migration of Linux shell scripts supporting batch jobs and data workflows
• Oversee and assist in migration of batch jobs (Control-M) and script automation frameworks
• Develop and review SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation scripts for migration accuracy
• Ensure data reconciliation, validation, and integrity checks across source and target systems
• Coordinate with DBA, ETL (Informatica), application, and reporting teams for seamless execution
• Manage testing phases (SIT, UAT, E2E) including defect triage and resolution tracking
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, performance issues, and migration dependencies
• Ensure audit-compliant documentation, governance reporting, and stakeholder communication

Pay Range Minimum: $66hr

Pay Range Maximum: $74hr

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
