Detailed Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with strong expertise in backend testing and BDD frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java-based automation, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines, along with exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or MQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java and Cucumber (BDD).
• Perform backend/API testing for microservices-based applications.
• Develop and execute automated test scenarios for RESTful services.
• Validate data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to closure.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation frameworks and best practices.
• Handle validations involving Kafka/MQ messaging systems.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber BDD framework.
• Solid knowledge of Backend/API Testing.
• Experience working with Microservices Architecture.
• Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging systems.
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).

Good to have:

• Experience with test frameworks like Serenity, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $61000 /Annual

Pay Range Maximum: $155000 / Annual

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
