Electrical Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 standards for electrical safety in medical devices.
• Perform detailed electrical analysis with a systems-level approach.
• Develop and execute verification and validation protocols, including hands-on testing.
• Utilize electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.
• Contribute to embedded PCBA design and ensure adherence to IPC standards.
• Apply knowledge of battery design standards for manufacturing, storage, and transport.
• Design and review schematics using eCAD tools (Cadence, OrCAD, Allegro).
• Prototype, simulate, and test electrical systems efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports for compliance and design reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations and risk management.
• Hands-on experience in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with medical capital equipment.
• Project management experience or certification (PMP preferred).
• Ability to manage trade-offs and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with battery safety standards and transport regulations.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $88000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $134000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
