Core Responsibilities
- · Design and develop battery systems for infusion pumps, focusing on precision power delivery to ensure accurate medication dosing.
- · Implement advanced safety features such as protection against overcharge, short circuits, and thermal runaway.
- · Integrate real-time monitoring and communication systems for battery health and performance.
- · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into medical devices.
- · Conduct performance testing and validation under various operating conditions.
- · Ensure compliance with medical device standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO 13485, FDA).
- Technical Requirements
- · Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for battery system design.
- · Strong understanding of Li-ion battery chemistry, structure optimization, and thermal management.
- · Experience with switch-mode voltage regulators, low-dropout regulators, and digital-to-analog converters for stable power delivery.
- · Knowledge of redundant detection and execution mechanisms to prevent power failures.
Qualifications
- · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- · 3–7 years of experience in battery design, preferably in medical or high-reliability environments.
- · Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $88000 per year
Pay Range Maximum: $134000 per year

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
