Role Description The Medical Practice Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in band new building close to 5 subway in Brooklyn, NY, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of (internal medicine & cardiology) medical practice supported by HCLS Consulting. This role coordinates front- and back-office workflows, including scheduling, patient intake, billing, and revenue cycle processes, to ensure efficient and compliant operations. The Medical Practice Manager supervises and supports staff, manages performance, and fosters a collaborative, patient-centered culture. They monitor key performance indicators, oversee budgets and expenses, and work with leadership to implement process improvements and best practices. The role also involves ensuring adherence to regulatory and payer requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, and serving as a primary point of contact for providers, staff, and external partners.
Qualifications
- Operational management skills, including oversight of scheduling, patient flow, front-desk operations, and revenue cycle processes.
- People leadership capabilities, such as team supervision, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and practice compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clinicians, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with practice management software, (eCW) EHR systems, and basic office productivity tools.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience managing or coordinating operations in a medical practice, clinic, or similar healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and an interest in driving operational excellence.
