Position Summary
Second Chances Comprehensive Services (SCCS) is seeking a motivated and community-focused Community Liaison to support business development and outreach initiatives throughout our service areas. This role is responsible for building relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to increase awareness of SCCS programs and services. The Community Liaison will play an important role in enhancing community engagement, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the organization's mission of delivering high-quality behavioral health and developmental services.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel locally within assigned territories, including Chester, Hopewell, and Emporia, to develop referral relationships, conduct outreach activities, attend meetings, and represent SCCS in the community.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and community needs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of business development and outreach plans.
- Support annual marketing initiatives and organizational growth strategies.
- Represent SCCS at community events, meetings, networking opportunities, and other outreach activities.
- Promote awareness of SCCS services and programs within the community.
- Track outreach activities and evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to support new and existing programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of outreach efforts and referral activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or a related field required.
- Previous experience in business development, marketing, physician relations, community outreach, or behavioral health preferred.
- Relevant education may be substituted for experience where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to present information professionally to individuals and groups.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic database/CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally within the service area.
