Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Responsible for care of instruments and sterile supplies. Responsible for the processing of instruments and prepares instruments for surgery.
• Responsible for quality control of all equipment, instruments and reports all control data to the Sterile Processing Supervisor or Director. Responsible for relative logs.
• Performs delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in preparing surgical trays.
• Oversees the quality improvement processing of the department.
• Participates in and promotes positive peer and guest relations.
• Supports the hospital’s mission, goals, and objectives.
• Tracks incoming instruments and equipment
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician
• Two years previous Lead Sterile Processing Tech Experience preferred.
  
  

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Central Sterile Processing, the Sterile Processing Technician receives, cleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes items for reprocessing. Assembles and tests instruments for sharpness, and function. Prepares instrument sets accurately, orders supplies from general stores as needed.
