Job Summary And Qualifications
To perform diagnostic ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision and assume the responsibility for designated procedures as required. To assure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations

Job Summary And Qualifications
To perform diagnostic ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision and assume the responsibility for designated procedures as required. To assure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations
What you will do in this role:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasounds to include but not limited to abdomen, OB, vascular, neonatal, biopsies and drainage procedures.
- Maintain skill and understanding of ultrasound.
- Always verifies correct patient by checking name on requisition with the name on the patient’s wristband and verbal confirmation before procedure is started.
- Has a sound understanding of anatomical position and physiology so as to be able to make independent selection and modification of technical factors used to provide optimal procedure results.
- Be responsible for maintaining licensure and continuing education.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment and reports malfunctioning devices.
- Recognizes problems and implements a course of action.
- Immediately informs nursing unit and supervisor of any problems encountered or observed with patient during procedure.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, visitors, physicians and the general public.
- Required one year experienced in diagnostic ultrasound
- Graduate of a recognized ABHS accredited program or AMA equivalent allied health-training program for diagnostic ultrasound
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
