Job Summary And Qualifications
A Pharmacy Technician shall completely and accurately fill medication orders for verification by a Pharmacist, reconcile and charge floor stock including narcotics and prepare sterile products using sterile techniques. Complete monthly nursing inspections, deliver medications and IVs as scheduled including stats and check in and maintain inventory. Answer the phone and assist the pharmacist as needed and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the pharmacy. Employees will be responsible for knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant child, adolescent, adult and geriatric population

- Performs technical skills proficiently in accordance with established standards, as evidenced by annual validation processes.
- Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills to perform job requirements.
- Reconcile and replace drugs and IV’s used in Floor stock and Crash Carts.
- Deliver medications and IVs to patient care areas.
- Perform cart fill.
- Package bulk drugs in unit dose packages and maintain records.
- Check pharmacy stock for expired and unusable drugs.
- Note items that are out-of-stock or in low supply on the want book.
- Prepare IV admixtures using correct aseptic technique.
- (PHARM-Intern) Pharmacist - Intern, or (PharmTech) Pharmacy Technician License
