What You Will Do In This Role:
- You will comply with facility pharmacy schedule to work physically at patient care areas to interact with medical staff, nurses and other members of the healthcare team
- You will recognize untreated medical issues that could be improved or resolved with appropriate medication therapy.
- You will identify and consults on possible drug interactions.
- You will effectively provide education or in-services on rational medication therapy and medication procedures to healthcare professionals, students, patients, or the public as needed.
- You will train and participate with Disaster Team drills and real-event response as assigned/appropriate
- Licensed to work as a registered pharmacist in the State of Texas, no later than October 1 of the residency year is required.
- Adhering to the rules of the resident matching program (RMP) process and utilize the PhORCAS system for the application process is required.
- Pharmacy Intern License & must obtain Texas Pharmacist License within 60 days of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pharmacist, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
