Job Summary And Qualifications

Daily cleaning and supplying products to patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department to meet the hospital objectives. Cleaning tools include wet mops, dust mops, wringers, vacuum, dusters, chemicals, and other necessary tools, products and supplies to meet our customer’s needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans rooms or assigned areas as trained according to JCAHO guidelines.
• Replenish supplies
• Cleans’ emergency spills observed or upon request
• Follows proper safety procedures
• Returns pages in a timely manner
• Maintains clean equipment
• Reports maintenance to Supervisor
• Clocks in and out, signs in and out consistently to ensure correct hours for payroll
• Assists department where needed to meet needs of facility
• Establish and maintain good communications with facility personnel and customers
• Use chemicals properly and bottles labeled
• Keeps the Supervisor aware of positive and negative happenings
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: One to two years’ experience preferred
• Skills: Effective communication, reasoning,and ability to work with people
