Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides respiratory care therapies and procedures to all age groups of patients in all areas of the hospital.

• Applies respiratory care modalities and procedures to a group of patients. Evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other disciplines as required and adjusts the plan of care as necessary to ensure optimal service.
• Ensure appropriate delivery of cardiopulmonary/patient care for a group of patients according to policy and procedure.
• Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
• Cooperates with other personnel to achieve Department objectives and maintain good employee relations and collaborative integration of the health care team.
• Demonstrates accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively. Demonstrates professional practice and conduct at all times.
• Participates in Performance Improvement as appropriate (i.e. data collection, quality control, etc.)
  
  

What Qualifications You Will Need

Minimum Education:

• High School/ GED equivalent preferred
  
  

Minimum Experience:

• 6 months to 1year preferred by not required
  
  

Certification:

• BLS Required
• NBRC CRT preferred
• ACLS & PALS within90 days of hire
  
  

Required Licensure:

• RCP licensure in the state of Texas
