Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of all surgical, endoscopic and radiological procedures. The Lead Scheduler is under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services. He/She will maintain a neat and orderly work area, maintain needed supplies, answer phones promptly and courteously, promote team work with physicians, and their office personnel and personnel from other departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Involves general guidance and direction by the clinical coordinator of PACU, ENDO, and Day Surgery.
• The Lead scheduler is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Provide training to new and PRN staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
• Education: High School graduate or GED
• Experience: A minimum of one year of operating room or radiology experience preferred.
• Special qualifications: Must be able to pass the hospital physical examination, be clean and well-kept in appearance, have good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor. Must have good communication skills and be a multi-task type person.
