Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Office Coordinator who will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the daily operations of the front office and ensures accurate scheduling for the department and facility.
What you will do in this role:
1. Maintain personnel diaries and evaluates work performance of staff in a timely manner utilizing positive coaching and team building skills.
2. Coordinate patient flow throughout facility and maintains awareness of schedule to minimize delays. Maintains communication with scheduling staff throughout the day regarding schedule changes and time status.
3. Remains visible and accessible to incoming visitors at all times and recommends and obtains additional temporary coverage as necessary.
4. Explains paperwork, answers questions, and obtains all appropriate information and signatures. Makes copies of all insurance cards and collects co-pays/cost-shares as appropriate.
5. Notifies patients of delays in the schedule and approximate wait time. Follows up on all patients who do not show up for their exam.
6. Answers and routes phone calls appropriately and in a professional manner.
7. Enters data into the IDX system and accurately indicates add-ons, work-ins and in-patients in IDX. Documents appropriate information on the report-tracking sheet accurately and completely.
8. Annotates all scheduling changes appropriately in the patient’s history notes.
9. Will be responsible for enforcing all front Office Policies and Procedures.
What qualifications you will need:
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School graduate (or GED); proficiency in operating modern communications systems/equipment and office equipment. Must possess a functional knowledge of medical terminology.
