Job Summary and Qualifications

This position will be accountable for the Advanced Maternal and Newborn Institute (AMNI) and accepts responsibility for all department functions of the Specialty Obstetric Referral Center (SORC). This position requires an RN license thereby accepting responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Primary Functions:

• Accept responsibility for patient safety of the clinical (inpatient and outpatient) practice environment for all AMNI patients.
• Develop and strengthen referral physician relationships collaboratively with HCA division sales team and the AVP of Women’s Business Development
• Service line specific Strategic Planning and Business Plan Development
• Actively participate in the division outreach program
• Achieve operational metrics (patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, quality and referral growth)
• Create and maintain department dashboards specifically outlining strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Support physician relations within the hospitalist group that is providing care in the SORC

Secondary Functions:

• Marketing/Communications Plan and Material
• Budgeting and Fiscal Management of the department
• Cost Containment (Supply Chain)
• Facility Development

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, required

• MBA or MHA preferred
• Minimum of 3 years practice as RN in NICU or Obstetrical Areas
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in leadership role
