What you will do in your role:  

  • You will have the authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of neonatal patient care services from admission, stabilization, and through discharge
  • You will have oversight of the NICU Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
  • You will Collaborate with Neonatal Medical Director in areas to include, but not limited to: developing and/or revising policies, procedures and guidelines, and the QAPI Program
  • You will Collaborate with NICU Nurse Educator in assuring staff competency, education and training for the neonatal patient population served
  • You will chairs the neonatal QAPI multidisciplinary meeting; presents monthly statistics and quality improvements
  • You will provide age appropriate care to all patient populations for which program manager is responsible and trained for and demonstrates communication skills appropriate for age

What qualifications you will need:

  • BSN with plans to obtain MSN within one year
  • Clinical experience in level II and Level III NICU
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • Certified in field of Neonatal Nursing or eligible to take the RN – NIC or RN – LRN ANCC boards with the contingency of passing boards within one year
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • NRP

    This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
