Job Summary And Qualifications
Department Secretary will perform clerical functions including typing, filing, scheduling, answering the telephone and maintain department statistics. TAT maintenance and auditing of STAT call reports, as well as assisting staff and physicians when available is also a daily task that needs to be mastered. Maintain the department’s physical appearance and ordering supplies. Secretary’s serves as a receptionist greeting patients and visitors. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.

- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Basic Reading comprehension required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to type, file, use a personal computer.
- Previous clerical/hospital experience preferred.
- Special qualifications: Good people skills, Needs good organization and time-management skills.
