Job Summary and Qualifications

In conjunction with the Chief Nursing Officer, Assistant CNO, the Administrative Director of Clinical Operations (ADCO) provides leadership to the cost centers within the Department of Nursing. The specific area of leadership focus for the ADCO is the operational component of the departments to include project management, process improvement, productivity, and resource acquisition and management of all types.

What qualifications you will need:

A. Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business is preferred.
  • 7 years of leadership experience in healthcare required. Experience leading diverse teams, including physician stakeholders, is required. Preferred degree can substitute for 2 years of the required experience.

B. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License required
  • BLS-Healthcare Provider on hire (American Heart Association) required
  • National certification in identified specialty must be achieved within 12 months of appointment if not current.
