Role Description The Practice Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for the daily operations of one or more physician practices, including oversight of scheduling, patient flow, front-office and back-office functions, and overall service quality. The Practice Manager manages budgets, financial performance, and revenue cycle activities such as billing, collections, and coding support to meet organizational goals. This position recruits, trains, schedules, and evaluates team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-oriented work environment. The Practice Manager also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and HCA Healthcare policies, coordinates with physicians and clinical leadership on operational improvements, and drives initiatives that enhance patient experience and practice efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong practice operations and leadership skills, including team supervision, workflow optimization, and performance management.
- Proficiency in healthcare business and financial management, including budgeting, revenue cycle processes, and basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, practice management systems, and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Ability to analyze data, create reports, and use metrics to guide operational decisions and improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Prior experience managing or coordinating operations in a medical practice, clinic, or similar healthcare setting strongly preferred.
